Consumer Feedbacks And Complaints

Actual Customer Feedback:

"Great new intuitive interface. Very good detection on new viruses. Far better firewall, but a little hard to configure. System utilities are a great addition."
Actual user comment from PCAdvisor.co.uk

"Poor product quality, obviously poor programming and testing before it was released, poor customer support, techs did not acknowledge problems through support though others were posting issues on the forum. Forum Admin was editing onsite complaints. Had to finally remove it and go with something else."
Actual user comment from PCAdvisor.co.uk

"...I have called repeatedly to Bitdefender, left messages, and even tried calling their press department to reach a live person but have been unable to contact even once to an actual tech person, and no one has ever returned my calls (in over two weeks). I am considering taking legal action against them for the loss of productivity suffered by my business..."
Portion of actual user comment from TheTechHerald.com

"...It will automatically detect a virus that contains viruses and it didn't change any settings on my computer. I didn't have to re-boot after scans... But Bitdefender is not all perfect, I had certain problems with game mode by not activating automatically and the icon (the one that appears the taskbar) not appearing when booted and than appearing after a few minutes.."
Portion of actual user comment from TheTechHerald.com

"...After about two months the issues start. First it started crashing whenever I put it into game mode. Then internet became unusable unless game mode was on and hence all protection is off, but it might crash doing so..."
Portion of actual user comment from NewEgg.com

"BitDefender tells you when it has blocked a virus. I feel a fairly high level of security with BitDefender Total Security. But for me, BitDefender by itself has not been enough."
Actual user comment from NewEgg.com

"...A excellent product with many excellent features, which can protect you while surfing the web, word processing, play games, chatting, and basically everything else. This product is very light on system resources..."
Portion of actual user comment from Download.com

"...The techs at BD thought the changes made to the firewall would correct my problems which it did. They gave me a deal to allow me to upgrade from BDIS 2008 to BDTS 2009 and I could not be happier. Making sure I had no trace of other security apps on my PC I downloaded and installed without a hitch... Use the 30 day trial first to make sure it does not conflict with your PC configutation and setup. What works well on one PC does not always work well on another. There are still a couple of bugs because BDTS 2009 is relatively new but to me they are minor...
Portion of actual user comment from Amazon.com

"...do love BitDefender; the malware detection engine is top notch, and 2009 comes with a few useful new features in addition to the ones I liked in the 2008 version. The user interface has again been revamped, and can be alternated between advanced mode, which gives the user full access to all settings, and a more basic view that provides the layman with just the essentials... I had some issues with 2008 early on, and the company never quite worked out all the kinks. 2009 has taken these problems to a new level. Current bugs include certain settings reverting to defaults after every update, failed updates, interface display problems, and, perhaps most annoyingly, a tendency to deselect the window in which one is working, periodically causing the cursor to disappear from the text field when one is typing...
